Hi.  I’m Carson Brackney.

WHAT I DO

I work with entrepreneurs, marketers and small businesses to utilize the Internet to their maximum advantage.

I’m a consultant and a service provider.  What does that mean?

Well, it means that I help people figure out how to do things.  Then, I help get them done.

What kind of things?

  • Search Engine Optimization and Linkbuilding
  • Site and Product Promotions
  • Copywriting
  • Content Production
  • Wordpress Installation, Configuration and Customization
  • Marketing Strategy Planning and Implementation
  • Etc.

I hate the expression “jack of all trades” but…

I’ve been working online, in one capacity or another, for over five years.  I was making money with Adsense and blogging before it was cool (and well before it became so damn tough).  I’ve written articles for many of the biggest names in Internet marketing.  I’ve ghostwritten at least 200 ebooks on topics ranging from household products to advanced SEO techniques.  I’ve written countless sales pages for products and services of all types and at all price points.  I’ve helped clients build their first sites and have worked with industry leaders on new products.  I’ve designed and managed promotional campaigns for information and physical products.  I’ve been a content vendor for some of the most popular private label rights sites and traffic generation services. I have my own affiliate marketing business quietly humming right along behind my consulting efforts.

Are you getting bored yet?  Thought so.  I’ll stop there.

That should give you an idea of what I do.  The best way to get a handle on what I’m doing, however, is to read this blog.  The entries should provide a more complete sense of my range of services and talents.

WHO I AM

I’m a 38 year-old guy who lives in the Kansas City suburbs with his wonderful wife and the two coolest little girls you could ever hope to meet.  I’m a huge movie fan.  I’m a pretty good cook.  I’ve recently started running for the first time in my life and I’m actually enjoying it.  Even though I like to think of myself as a pretty smart guy, I continue rooting for the hapless Kansas City Royals year after year.

My professional history includes work in sales, management, human resources, and a variety of other capacities.  I’ve been a radio announcer, represented individuals seeking federal disability benefits, worked as a focus group recruiter, researched and wrote appeals as a law clerk, and taught college courses in communication while serving as a debate coach.

I have a BA in Communications and have been through a few tours of graduate school, having done work in Education and Rhetorical Criticism.  I once made the horrible mistake of going to law school.

I own Big Red Notebook, which serves as HQ for much of my copywriting work.  I also own Ad Astra Traffic, which involves the creation and management of a professional writing team for client content production.

If you’re interested in talking with me about your needs or projects, just head on over to the handy-dandy CONTACT PAGE and get in touch.  I’ll get back to you right away.
